THE GORILLA IS ON THE LOOSE!!
FAMILY
A few pics of the family...

A pic of the Gorilla and his youngest daughter, Madison.  Madison loves horseback riding and has recently joined 4H to learn more about the sport she has decided enjoy.  She is the proud owner of "Bootlegger," a registered Quarter Horse who is being trained even as you read this to compete in western trails competition with Madison on board.

As you can see, she rather enjoys anything C&W, and once Madison purchased her cowboy(girl) hats, the Gorilla was able to get a couple of his own.  Madison is a huge Sugarland fan, she loves Brooks & Dunn, and is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet - unless she gets mad.  Then, she has her Dad's temper and as her older brother, Mason, will attest, she can be a fireball.

Madison is personally responsible for getting her father involved in the whole AQHA genre.  She's an angel.

Pictured left, is Mason.  Mason has become his Dad's "hunting buddy," though he often finds the tranquility of the great outdoors almost too much to bear.  Here, Mason is on a wild turkey hunt in Northwest Oklahoma just minutes before two monster toms came in and fell to the blast of a Mossberg 500.  Now, those birds are in the freezer, ready to be eaten.

Mason, like other kids his age, thinks that most of the world revolves around PS2 Tony Hawk games, and enjoys picking on his younger sister, and then when she is sufficiently angry, running like a bat out of hell to escape her wrath.  Mason is a very unique young man, our miracle child.

Mason was born with a form of autism and thanks to the miracle work of Ms. Bettie Shadoan at his first elementary school, Mason is soaring and a completely normal young man.  This year, Mason will be taking his hunter education courses so he too can join the kill it and grill it tradition.  Well, in theory anyway.  The older he gets, the less interested he is in sitting in the woods.  Please pray for him.

Pictured here with Dad is Heather, the Gorilla's oldest daughter.  As bright as she is beautiful, Heather is a full-blown, all-out teenage girl.  Headstrong (gosh, we have no idea where she gets that), more conservative than Ann Coulter, and more compassionate and understanding than Nancy Pelosi (which really isn't that hard to accomplish), Heather is an amazing young woman whose talents include music and dance.  In Philly, she was a part of a dance troupe that performed at halftime at the Sixers' games.

Heather is an amazing young woman who remarkably carries her grandmother's personality traits, her smile, and her intense passion.  Heather will be joining the kill it and grill it ranks this Spring as well, perhaps going on a feral hog hunt with Dad.

She makes her Dad very proud.

And speaking of proud, here is a photo of Suzanne, the Gorilla's wife and a couple of the "Pink Ladies" of the Oklahoma City Gun Club (Suzane is on the far right).  This photo is from an NRA publication boasting about the amazing success of the "Women On Target Fun Shoot" hosted by the Oklahoma City Gun Club - the largest women's event of its kind in the nation.  Suzanne is an NRA certified rifle instructor and a dead shot.  To be honest, she's a better shot than the Gorilla.

Suzanne is pretty well known in Central Oklahoma for her grant-writing abilities.  She currently works with a local tutoring/mentoring program helping at-risk children and their literacy rates.  As you can well imagine, she is one of the most incredibly patient people in the world - being married to Ron, she is in the running for Sainthood.

Picture right, is the new "Lady AR" - an AR15 chambered at .223.  This particular firearm is an interesting alternative to Suzanne's firearm of choice, her Bushmaster AR15.  Suzanne attends the annual women's dove hunt hosted by J&J Ranch in Arnett, Oklahoma along with Suzi Rouse (President of the OKC Gun Club), Tara Leiter (wife of Scott Leiter of Hunt, Sleep, Fish Television), and Oklahoma's very own Corporation Commissioner, Denise Bode

Suzanne is also a very proud Buckeye - THE Ohio State University.

The newest addition to the Black family is Gunnar.  Gunnar is an AKC registered German Shorthair Pointer and as you can see in this photograph, he's almost as anxious to get out in the field as is Dad.
