James Davenport Leads In SD44

Recent polling indicates the SD44 race has been dominated by the grassroots and direct mail efforts of James Davenport.  SD44 has been filled to overflowing with controversy and James comes into the race with an impeccable reputation.

From the polling data:
First, in a survey of likely Republican primary voters, using a random dialed survey to determine that James Davenport is within striking distance (46.08%) of winning the July 27th primary without a runoff.  The survey was conducted July 9-11, 2010.  The margin of error on this survey is +/-5.1%, with 319 respondents.
Second, with a twenty five (25) point advantage over the nearest candidate, and the three other candidates all packed together within seven percentage of each other.
The Senate seat being vacated by Debbe Leftwich will be a Republican pick up if the polling is any indication.  Davenport has been working this district the old-fashioned way:  Without attacks but with integrity.

James is a good, honest man whom I believe to be well suited for this Senate seat.  I know James to be a very hard-working man who is in tune with what is happening in his district.  I wish him all the luck and maybe, a victory without a run-off.
